Two people were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after being shot in Uptown Charlotte on Sunday afternoon.
According to a tweet by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, the shooting happened shortly before 4 p.m. at Romare Bearden Park.
A witness told QCity Metro he heard two gunshots while others heard as many as five.
Police have not released the victims’ names but reported that a suspect was taken into custody.
