The community comes together on game days to support the Carolina Panthers, but the team will pay it forward on Friday.
To celebrate the team’s fifth annual Keep Pounding Day, players, coaches and staff members will participate in five service projects across Charlotte, as well as in Fort Bragg and Camden, S.C.
The projects will address housing, food security, juvenile justice, military outreach and seniors’ outreach.
“We are grateful for the support the team receives from Panthers fans across North and South Carolina,” Riley Fields, Panthers director of community relations, said in a press release. “We are looking forward to serving multiple communities in our region through a variety of initiatives.”

Carolina Panthers Pancake Squad Breakfast
The Panthers players will serve a pancake brunch to senior citizen residents at the Merrywood on Park Assisted Living Center. Staff, coaches and players will also participate in activities with the seniors while also building raised garden planters so residents have accessible garden plots to enjoy and tend.
Urban Farm Rejuvenation at Aldersgate Farm
Panthers players and staff will provide harvesting, planting, bed maintenance, mulching and other required site work to prepare the Aldersgate Urban Farm for the growing season. The farm provides fresh produce for the east Charlotte community.
Home Repair & Renovation with Rebuilding Together
Panthers players and staff will provide home repairs and build an accessible ramp for a home in Charlotte’s Hidden Valley neighborhood.
Play 60 Day with children of military service members
At Fort Bragg, Panthers players and staff, in partnership with USO of North Carolina, will operate a Play 60 Camp for students from Bowley Elementary, which is located on the base. Students will participate in a series of field-day-style activities led by players and team staff.
Jackson Teen Center
Panthers players and staff will engage with high-risk teens in the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice program. Players and staff will work with teens on creating personal vision boards and participate in a community service project, as well as games and activities.
