Ally Financial, the Thurgood Marshall College Fund and Charlotte-area businesses will host 60 HBCU students this week in an entrepreneurial pitch competition. The student teams will spend four-day developing ideas to promote economic mobility for diverse communities in Charlotte. Member of the top three winning teams will get scholarships for $20,000, $10,000 and $5,000 respectively, as well as guaranteed paid internship offers from Ally for Summer 2023.

N.C A&T’s Blue and Gold Marching Machine performed Sunday during the NFL halftime show at Ford Field in Detroit.

First Lady Jill Biden stopped at N.C. A&T on Monday as part of a nationwide tour to promote the administration’s “Road to Success Back to School Bus Tour.”

Otis Moss III will be Livingstone College‘s keynote speaker for the school’s fall convocation. Moss’s short film about his grandfather, a civil rights activist who walked 18 miles to try and vote, was featured on Oprah Winfrey’s “Super Soul Sunday.”
