Black-led nonprofit gets $15,000 in grant funding


Rise 2 Thrive Family Resource Center received $10,000 from the MassMutual Foundation and $5,000 from MassMutual Carolinas, according to a statement on Wednesday.

Founded by Ashley Fitch, the nonprofit provides low- to moderate-income families with case management, career services and financial education courses.

Its focus area includes Cabarrus County and the greater Charlotte region.

Fitch said the grants will help the organization “further impact families in need…”
